When The Council for Agricultural Science and Technology's CONVERSATIONS ON CHANGE initiative convened for their third time, the group was both more consolidated and expanding. Individual participants, and the planning committee as a whole had experienced the power of art in both earlier sessions. Their growing understanding encouraged them toward self-authorship, and they expressed what they wanted to see in the art:
1) scientific expressions of agricultural life
2) respect for what has been marginalized
3) performing arts, amateur art, literary connection

a) a CAST geneticist recommended the above website of microbiological images. The artist readily granted permission to use in a dance multi-media backdrop.
b) a CAST microbiologist is a collector of rare and antique books on science. He laments the loss of respect and articulation; even awe and elegance of historical science. He recommended this image.
c)"Eve" by prairie painter Billy Morrow Jackson is a haunting reverie on conflicting worldviews of then and now.
d) inspired by the popular book, Ishmael by Daniel Quinn, two CAST participants performed a skit-conversation between a gorilla and a seeker.
